Rear engine modified roadster
Along came a tube-framed rear engine modified roadster. It was semi-assembled and mostly complete, but had never been finished because the builder Tom Kennington had passed away. Overall, he did some nice work, including hand forming all the aluminum body panels.
There is no parts list or drawings, but it has a good-sounding 350 Chevy, Powerglide (interesting), Winters quick change, custom aluminum tanks for water and fuel, turbos, carb, instruments, fire suppression, and parachute attachment point.
Plan is to disassemble and build it back up safe and reliable, checking, correcting, and modifying as required.
Then run it at Bonneville with Tom’s picture in the cockpit.
